December 2021 (11/11 – 12/8) Nielsen Audio PPM Ratings Day 3: KSEG Soars

Day 3 of Nielsen Audio’s PPM releases are now available for Charlotte, Portland, San Antonio, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Orlando, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Cleveland and Columbus.

Audacy Classic Rock “Eagle 96.9” KSEG surges up 8.3 to 10.2 to take the Sacramento lead despite the over 3 share gain from Bonneville’s KYMX. Taking the biggest hits are iHeartMedia’s duo of News/Talk 1530 KFBK/93.1 KFBK-FM (9.1 to 7.3) and Soft AC “92.5 The Breeze” KBEB (7.4 to 5.2).

Bonneville News/Talk 860 KSL/102.7 KSL-FM Salt Lake City trends down 9.9 – 7.5 – 6.0. Trending up is iHeartMedia CHR 97.1 KZHT (2.8 – 3.8 – 4.1). Cumulus Country “K-Bull 93.3” falls 3.7 to 2.3.

Both Spanish stations in Orlando surge up. iHeartMedia’s Spanish Tropical “Rumba 100.3” WRUM trends up 6.1 – 6.9 – 8.4. Cox Spanish CHR “Exitos 96.5” WOEX rises 5.6 to 6.4.

Cumulus Classic Hits 103.5 WGRR (12.3 – 11.0) and iHeartMedia News/Talk 700 WLW (11.8 – 10.2) remain atop Cincinnati. Hubbard CHR “Q102” WKRQ surges up to third 5.4 to 7.5.

With morning show changes at Audacy’s “Alt 96.5” KRBZ Kansas City, the station trends rises 2.8 to 3.4, while Cumulus’ “105.1 The X” KCJK trends down 3.1 – 2.5 – 2.2.

Cumulus Classic Rock “101 The Fox” KCFX Kansas City rises 8.9 to 9.7 to hold onto its market lead.

TEGNA Sports “97.1 The Fan” WBNS-FM Columbus rises 9.6 to 10.3 to break the station record high share set in October. Saga Classic Hits “Rewind 103.5/104.3” WNND/WNNP surges up 1.6 – 2.2 – 3.6, which ratings expert Chris Huff notes is a record high for the station.
