Woody Johnson Retires From Mornings At WCOL

After nineteen years in mornings at iHeartMedia Country 92.3 WCOL-FM Columbus, Woody Johnson retired today from “Woody & The Wake-UP Call”.

Johnson had been with WCOL since 1997 and in mornings since 2002, while also briefly hosting afternoons on News/Talk 610 WTVN in 2018. Co-hosts Kayla Hanley, WCOL-FM Program Director Dan Zuko, and producer Dylan Gonzalez will continue in the morning slot. Johnson will continue to contribute “Birthday Busts” where he calls nominated listeners on their birthdays to the morning show. On his Linkedin profile, Johnson notes, “While I’m looking for nothing full-time, my tank’s not empty, and I’d love the opportunity to put my wealth of experience & knowledge to work. Consulting, part-time sales, even voiceover work are all opportunities I’d entertain, and have proven success.”
