Townsquare Media Classic Rock “96.5 The Fox” KBYZ Bismarck ND has entered stunt mode.
KBYZ has dropped its previous branding for “Go Fish Radio” promoting a format change for Thursday, December 16 at 4:00pm. The station’s playlist currently features a mix of its previous format plus music from other genres such as Kanye West, Katy Perry, Brad Paisley, Allison Krauss and a few Christmas songs, who were all heard on Sunday afternoon.
KBYZ ranked eighth in the Spring 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings with a 4.8 share, but well behind iHeartMedia’s Rock “Rock 101” KSSS and its currently tied for third ranked 7.6 share (market leading as recently as Fall 2019). It also becomes the second station in the market currently in stunt mode joining iHeart’s “Christmas 92.9” KYYY, which dropped its 40+ year old “Y93” brand and CHR format in early November.
