The Julio Arquinio led BMax Media closed on its $375,000 purchase of Christian Preaching 1230 WRBS Baltimore earlier this month and officially launched Spanish CHR “Maxima 94.3” on it and American FM Associates’ 94.3 W232CL Baltimore on Monday.
Now operating under WFOA calls, the station is promoting a mix of Spanish music genres including Pop, Trap, Regional Mexican, and Tumbado. The signal becomes the first Spanish language station in Baltimore although Audacy’s “El Zol 107.9” WLZL College Park covers the city as well despite focusing on the Washington DC market.
