Radio Remembers WTOP Evening Anchor Dimitri Sotis

Dimitri Sotis 103.5 WTOP Washington DCHubbard News 103.5 WTOP Washington DC evening anchor Dimitri Sotis passed away over the weekend at the age of 55.

The station reports that Sotis was found unresponsive in his home on Saturday night. Hubbard Radio Washington DC President/General Manager Joel Oxley said in a staff memo, “It is with the utmost sadness and shock that I write this email to let you all know our friend and coworker, Dimitri Sotis, has passed away.”

A native of Muncie IN, he began his career as an intern at WMAL Washington DC and later worked at United Press International’s radio service before joining WTOP in 1999.

WTOP will have a one-hour tribute to Sotis at 7pm this evening.
