Westwood One has announced that “America at Night with Rich Valdés” is now airing an hour earlier as the show now is airing live on weekdays from 9pm to 12am Eastern.
The show, which had been running from 10pm to 1am, debuted in October 2022 following the retirement of Jim Bohannon. It was renamed as “America at Night” in January 2023. With the new timeslot, the program has added new live clearances on Cumulus Media’s 105.9 WMAL-FM Washington DC and 860 KKAT Salt Lake City as well as Patrick Broadcasting’s 700 KSEV Houston. Westwood One states that the addition of WMAL-FM and KSEV gives the show clearances in all top 10 DMAs as well as bringing it to over 250 markets.
Rich Valdés commented: “Thank you, Jesus! I’m super excited to be on all of these new stations in great cities, and welcome all of our new listeners to join our live late-night national town hall conversation and encourage them to call in on Open Phone across America.”
