VOX AM/FM has announced the appointment of Christopher ‘Boomer’ Layfield to serve as Operations Manager of its Burlington VT cluster, Program Director of Country “101.3 The Wolf” WCPV Essex NY, and afternoon host on AC “Star 92.9” WEZF Burlington.
Layfield most recently was Operations Manager of Cumulus Media Indianapolis and Program Director of Country 95.5 WFMS and AC “107.9 The Mix” WNTR until exiting in November 2023. Prior to joining Cumulus Indianapolis in March 2018, Layfield programmed iHeartMedia CHR “Channel 96.1” WHQC and Variety Hits “102.9 The Lake” WLKO Charlotte NC from 2011-18 and has also programmed for iHeart at KSLZ St. Louis and WRVQ/WMXB Richmond, and held positions at KHTS-FM San Diego, WKBQ St. Louis, WYHY/WRVW Nashville, and WZJZ Fort Myers.
