Family Life Radio has announced the impending arrival of Sam Kelly as its new afternoon host.
Kelly joins Family Life Radio from a dual role as co-host of the “Scott and Sam Show” on Salem Music Network and “95.9 The Fish” KFSH Los Angeles with Scott Valentine and afternoon host at Crista Media’s “Spirit 105.3” KCMS-FM Seattle. he commented, “When Chuck Tyler at Family Life Radio called, and we started talking about good radio, growing the Kingdom and the joy of stories well-told, I was so energized. The chance to work with this team and for this ministry is truly an answer to prayer. I feel like a little kid right now—I’m so excited and can’t wait to see what God does next.”
FLR Program Director Chuck Tyler added, “There are only a select few on-air talents who can connect with listeners on the level that Sam does. We are fortunate to already have some incredible voices on our team, and I am thrilled that Sam has chosen to join Family Life Radio and Intentional Life Media as we continue to grow this ministry in the afternoons.”
FLR Chief Broadcast Engagement Officer Mike Kankelfritz commented, “I am beyond excited to have Sam join an already stellar lineup of personalities on Family Life Radio. Not only is she one of the top air talents in the industry, but she is also fueled by the passion for sharing the love of Jesus.”
Kelly, who will debut on Monday, February 3, will fill the afternoon slot that had been held by Dave Moore until his move to 94.9 KLTY Dallas in August. Moore has since exited ahead of Salem’s sale of KLTY and its other Christian music stations to EMF.
