BBC Radio 6 Music Festival is returning to Greater Manchester in 2025

The next 6 Music Festival will take place in its new permanent city of Manchester, Nick Grimshaw has announced.

Sitting in for Lauren Laverne, Nick said the event will take place from Wednesday 26th – Saturday 29th March 2025.

The 6 Music Festival is known for giving audiences performances from their favourite artists that they won’t see anywhere else – from new music debuts, to one-off collaborations and surprise guests.

Across the four days next March, the station will take over some of Greater Manchester’s venues to bring listeners a mix of live performances and DJ sets from a broad range of new and established acts.

In addition, 6 Music’s presenters will also be broadcasting their shows live from MediaCityUK in Salford, as well as from the festival venues.

Samantha Moy, Head of BBC Radio 6 Music says: “We’re really proud that our festival brings listeners truly unique performances from the artists they love, alongside a celebration of the fantastic acts that are emerging from Greater Manchester – and 2025 will be no different.

“We’re so looking forward to bringing the whole station to Greater Manchester again and for four days of incredible live music.”

The full line-up and venues will be announced in February 2025.
