Atlanta's Cadillac Jack Joins WEKS As Afternoon Host

Former WKHX Atlanta morning host ‘Cadillac Jack’ Choate is joining Georgia Radio Alliance Country “92.5 The Bear” WEKS Zebulon GA as afternoon host.

Cadillac Jack is best known for his over two decade run mostly in mornings at Cumulus Country “Kicks 101.5” WKHX Atlanta and also worked at Country “Y106.7” WYAY in the Atlanta market. He exited WKHX in July 2019 and filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Cumulus last year alleging that Atlanta Market Manager Sean Shannon harassed him for being bisexual and seeking the $700,000+ remaining on his contract at the time of termination, while Cumulus states he was fired for “highly unprofessional conduct” at a Luke Combs concert that included being visibly intoxicated, threatening Live Nation employees for not allowing him the bring people without passes into the backstage radio room, and “unwanted and unwelcome physical contact” with an employee from a competing radio station.

He will be heard in afternoons from 3-7pm starting Monday, November 8 with current afternoon host Steve Mitchell moving to Creative Services Director and hosting a weekend shift. WEKS serves the areas south of Atlanta including Fayetteville and Newnan GA.
