Times Radio celebrates one million subscribers on YouTube

The Times Radio YouTube channel has reached a milestone of one million subscribers since its launch in 2020.

The station says the success of its channel is a testament to its commitment to making high-quality news and talk radio also accessible in video format.

Brian Whelan, Head of Social Media & Video at Times Radio, said: “We are incredibly proud to have reached one million followers on YouTube.

“It’s a huge vote of confidence from our listeners and viewers who have embraced Times Radio as a trusted source of news and debate. This milestone is just the beginning, as we continue to grow and bring even more engaging content to our audiences.”

In the latest round of RAJAR audience listening figures, Times Radio saw a reach of 478k with weekly listening hours of 4.2m, listening for an average 8.9 hours each week.

For comparison, its sister station Talk Radio (nay Talk TV) has 1.1m, whilst LBC has 908k subscribers, GB News has 1.4m, and 5 Live hasn’t used its account for a long time.

BBC Radio 1 has over eight million subscribers on YouTube and Capital has 6.2m.
