Audacy Classic Hits 94.9 WOLX-FM Baraboo/Madison WI has promoted APD/MD/evening host Jesse Garon to mornings.
“Get Up with Garon” will be heard weekdays from 6-10:00am weekdays as Garon fills the timeslot held by Jim McGaw until his death in May. Garon has been with WOLX since 2015 after previously spending fourteen years at Backyard Broadcasting Olean NY and two years as News Director at Magnum Broadcasting in Portage WI. During his tenure with Audacy Madison, he also hosted middays at AAA “105.5 Triple M” WMMM.
Operations Manager Jonathan Suttin said, “We’re thrilled to have Jesse’s bright personality getting people up and ready for the day. He is the perfect person to follow in Jim’s footsteps and carry the torch for the future of mornings on WOLX.”
Garon commented, “Jim was a close friend of mine and I hope to be a friend to our great audience just like Jim was for so many years. WOLX has been my favorite radio station for years and, as a child of the 80s & 90s, a lot of the music we play connects with me on a personal level. I’m excited to get the day started for so many people.”
