Dana Lundon Departs Summit Country Trio

Dana Lundon 104.7 WZZK Birmingham 100.3 The Wolf WCYQ Knoxville 101.3 KFDI WichitaSummitMedia has cut ties with Country https://www.knoxvillewolf.com“>104.7 WZZK Birmingham midday host Dana Lundon.

Lundon had been hosting middays at WZZK since June 2016 and was also tracking at 101.3 KFDI Wichita and until last month at “100.3 The Wolf” WCYQ Knoxville. During her tenure with the company she also previously did middays at “Q103.1” WQNU Louisville.

Lundon shared on Facebook, “Well, today was my last day with Summit Media’s 104.7 WZZK and 101.3 KFDI. It was nothing I did or didn’t do, it’s just what happens in our industry and even more than it ever has before. I wanna thank my listeners for all the wonderful memories that I have been able to share with you and you with me. I had wonderful co-workers that I’m gonna miss daily. After 8 + years here, I can go out knowing my ratings were Top 3 and Top 5. I’m gonna take time now to figure out what my next move is, although I’m staying in Birmingham.”

Lundon began her career in overnights at WKCI New Haven in 1986. She has previously worked as MD/middays at WYMJ Dayton, WLUM Milwaukee, and WTIC-FM Hartford, APD/MD/afternoons at WZEE Madison, OM/PD at WJET/WFRG Erie PA, Music Director at WKQI Detroit, APD/MD at WOMC Detroit, morning co-host at WDVD Detroit, and morning co-host at WYNU and WOGY Jackson TN.

WZZK Program Director Mike Sanders, who had been hosting afternoons until the recent arrival of Brent ‘Dingo’ Crank, is now listed in middays there. WCYQ moved afternoon hosts Matt Cooper and Hanah May to middays and added Dingo in afternoons.
