Radio One Hip Hop “Hot 107.9” WHTA Hampton/Atlanta GA is making changes to its afternoon and evening dayparts.
Reach Media’s syndicated “Incognito Posted on the Corner” based at WHTA will move from nights to afternoons. Hosted by Jared ‘Incognito’ McGriff and ‘DJ Misses’ the show launched in syndication in April 2020. It will continue to air in nights on its other affiliates. A Columbus GA native, Incognito began his career in that markets at WFXE and WBFA and worked at “Streetz 94.5” WWSZ Atlanta before joining Radio One to host nights at “Z107.9” WENZ Cleveland.
Taking over the night shift at WHTA will be Audley ‘Fly Guy DC’ Feemster Jr. and MiAsia Symone. Fly Guy DC previously hosed nights at Core Communicators “Streetz 94.5” WWSZ. Symone moves up from weekends at WHTA and previously worked at WWSZ and in promotions at Audacy Atlanta.
RVP/General Manager Tim Davies said, “Moving Incognito’s Posted on the Corner produced here in the ATL to afternoon drive and launching the new Hot @ Nite with Fly Guy DC and MiAsia Symone, wow, what a line-up.” WHTA Program Director Devin Steel added, “We’re excited to usher in a new era during a pivotal time in commitment to local talent. Both shows give Atlanta fresh new energy and continue our history of introducing the format’s new superstars.”
With the changes afternoon host Joshua ‘J Hicks’ has departed WHTA after nineteen years with the station.
