iHeartMedia Hot AC 103.5 WKTU New York afternoon host Sean ‘Hollywood’ Hamilton will be moving to mornings starting Monday, September 16.
Hamilton has been with WKTU for most of the current brand’s existence. He originally co-hosted nights with ‘Goumba Johnny’ Sialiano from its launch in 1996 until 1999 and then returned in 2006 to team in afternoons. Following Sialiano’s exit in 2010, he has continued in afternoons solo since. In between WKTU tenures, Hamilton hosted mornings at “K-Earth 101” KRTH Los Angeles. Hamilton was also part of the original airstaff at CHR “Z100” WHTZ from 1983 to 1987, then moved to Los Angeles to host nights at 102.7 KIIS-FM from 1987 to 1996. From 1996 until 2021 he hosted and/or produced the syndicated “Hollywood Hamilton’s Weekend Top 30”, “Remix Top 30 with Hollywood Hamilton”, and “Weekend Top 30 with DJ Pup Dawg” and was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2019.
In making the announcement on an Instagram video last night, Hamilton said the new show will be called “Hollywood Hamilton and the KTU Morning Crew” with a cast of others joining him. A full announcement is forthcoming.
