Station Sales Week Of 10/15: Sajak Sells WNAV For Price Of Four Vowels

Pat Sajak is exiting radio ownership as the Wheel of Fortune host sells Full Service Oldies 1430 WNAV Annapolis MD to former “94.7 The Drive” WIAD Washington DC Program Director Chris Roth and Francis Brady’s BMSC Media for $1000. The deal does not include the 7.48 acres that house WNAV’s studios and towers, but Sajak will also contribute up to $100,000 towards the relocation of the station. Sajak has had the land listed for sale for $2.6 million, but notes in the sale contract that he has an understanding with a third-party for the purchase of the real estate. Sajak has owned WNAV since 1998.

Dennis Jackson’s Ridgefield Broadcasting Corporation sells 103.3 WQQQ Sharon CT to WAMC Inc. for $500,000. WQQQ, which simulcasted Public News/Talk 91.1 WSHU-FM Fairfield CT until earlier this year, will join the regional Public News/Talk network based at 1400 WAMC/90.3 WAMC-FM Albany NY.

Brad Fuhr, who began operating LGBTQ+ Dance “106.5 KGAY” 1270 KGAY/106.5 K293CL Thousand Palms/Palm Springs CA via Time Brokerage Agreement in August, has filed to purchase the station from Sunnylands Broadcasting for $300,000.

Illiana Communications sells Farm News/AC 980 WITY/99.5 W258CY Danville IL to Randy Richmond Services LLC for $208,000.

Educational Media Foundation acquires Christian “Here’s Help Radio” 91.9 KBPB Harrison AR from New Life Evangelical Center for $42,500.

Rev. R. B. Holmes Jr. sells Christian/Country “Cross Country 106.5” WOCY Carrabelle FL to Lena & Michael Allen’s East Bay Broadcasting for $160,000. The Allens began operating WOCY via LMA since March 2021.

Cowley County Broadcasting sells Classic Hits “The Mixx” 1280 KSOK/103.3 K277CK Arkansas City and Country 95.9 KSOK-FM Winfield KS to Steve and Christi Lungren’s Doxa Wave LLC for $275,000.

Friends of Christian Radio sells 590 KGLE Glendive MT to Hi-Line Radio Fellowship for $1. Hi-Line will begin operating KGLE via Time Brokerage Agreement with its “Your Network of Praise” starting on October 16.
