Former 102.5 KNIX Phoenix morning host Ben Campbell is joining Audacy Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC Detroit’s morning show.
Campbell will join on “Joanne, Jason and Ben” from 6-10am. He takes the spot created by the retirement of Jim ‘JJ’ Johnson last year. Campbell spent fifteen years at KNIX from 2008 until last April and had previous co-hosted mornings with Brian Egan at KMLE Phoenix from 1996-2002 and WMZQ Washington DC from 2002-08. He began his career hosting weekend overnights at WIVK Knoxville TN and then mornings at WWYC Lexington KY. Campbell and Egan also hosted the syndicated Country Countdown show “Ben and Brian’s Big Top 20 Countdown”.
Campbell was quoted as saying, “I’m super excited to join JoAnne and Jason and the WOMC morning show. WOMC is an iconic brand in Detroit, playing my favorite music, and working with Debbie Kenyon and Tim Roberts is a perfect winning environment.”
Tim Roberts, WOMC Brand Manager and Audacy Country Format Vice President stated, “We’re delighted to welcome Ben to WOMC and look forward to him teaming up with JoAnne and Jason. We’re sure listeners will quickly see Ben as a welcomed addition to their morning routines.”
