St. Barnabas Broadcasting, which entered the radio industry with the purchase of Conservative Talk 1320 WJAS/99.1 W256DE Pittsburgh last year, is acquiring two more stations in Western Pennsylvania.
St. Barnabas Broadcasting will acquire Conservative Talk simulcast “Beaver County Radio” 1230 WBVP/99.3 W257EA Beaver Falls and 1460 WMBA Ambridge (with CP for 95.7 W239CR Beaver Falls) from Mark Peterson’s Sound Ideas Media for $2.33 million. Both stations serve the northwest suburbs of Pittsburgh.
A subsidiary of non-profit nursing home operator St. Barnabas Health System, the buyer intends to retain the programming of the station and all of its employees including Peterson.
