Cumulus Media has shifted Country “106.5 Nash-FM” WLFF Georgetown/Myrtle Beach SC to Classic Country “106.5 Nash Icon“.
The station is now running the Westwood One delivered 90s/early 2000s centric Country format based at 95.5 WSM-FM Nashville. Cumulus Myrtle Beach Operations Manager Ken ‘Night Train’ Wortham continues to serve as PD/afternoon host at the station, while also hosting mornings at Classic Hits “Sunny 103.1” WSYN.
WLFF tied for twelfth in the Fall 2023 Nielsen Audio ratings with a 1.9 share. It joins Dick Broadcasting’s Classic Country “105.5 Hank-FM” 1450 WWHK in the market along with Andrulonis Media’s gold-leaning “Carolina Country 93.9” WGLD-FM that relaunched in January.
WLFF becomes Cumulus’ eleventh station utilizing the “Nash Icon” branding and Westwood One’s programming. It leaves the company with only eight remaining “Nash-FM” brands.
