WABC Promotes Matthew Meany To Assistant Program Director

Red Apple Media Conservative Talk 770 WABC New York has announced the promotion of Matthew Meany to Assistant Program Director.

Meany joined WABC in 2014 a a part-time Board Operator. He rose to Executive Producer of the Bernie & Sid Show in mornings in early 2020. Prior to joining WABC he worked as a producer and in promotions at WFAS White Plains NY.

Dave LaBrozzi, Senior Vice President of Programming for Red Apple Media and 77 WABC Radio, has announced the promotion of Matthew Meany to Assistant Program Director.

Meany will step into his new position immediately and play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the radio station, working alongside the Programming team.

“Matt’s hand in the impressive growth of the morning show ratings and his desire to grow make this appointment an ideal match for him and the station,” said LaBrozzi.

Meany began is radio career at 77 WABC in 2014 as a part-time Board Operator and quickly rose through the ranks. He took over as Executive Producer of the Bernie & Sid Show, from 6 am to 10 am, over a year ago and has piloted the show to its best ratings in years.

He will now work the other talented talk show hosts and Producers to assist in his new capacity as the station continues its growth and dominance as the leading talk outlet in the nation’s #1 market.
