Seven Mountains Media has completed its evolution of Oldies 97.1 WOWY University Park/State College PA and its two simulcasters 1150 WHUN/97.7 W249DD and 103.5 WHUN-FM Huntingdon to Classic Hits.
The station has moved its music from 1960s through 19880s to a 70s/80s base with new imaging and logo. ‘Real Deal’ Bob Steele and Roger Corey remain in mornings and afternoons respectively, while Katie McLean adds middays in addition to hosting nights at Hot AC “95.3 3WZ” WZWW. Kaptain Kranch moves from middays to weekends.
The shift moves WOWY into direct format competition with Forever Media Classic Hits “Happy 103.1” WAPY.
