After a brief holiday stunt as “K-Santa“, Evans Broadcast Company has flipped CHR “94.9 The Party” K235DC Reno NV to Adult Alternative “94.9 X“.
The new format launched on Tuesday first branded as “94.9 Reno’s Newest Radio Station” before adding the “X” identity on Thursday. The launch brings the format and branding back to the market for the first time since Lotus flipped 100.1 KTHX in October 2021 after 31 years.
The translator creates a flanker to sister Alternative “Alt 92.1” KRAT Sparks and is now originating from its HD2.
