Daniel Melendez’s Omega Media Broadcasting has launched Regional Mexican “La Grande 100.9” on CRC Media West’s 100.9 K265FH Cathedral City/Palm Springs and Marker Broadcasting’s 95.9 KJJZ-HD4 Indian Wells CA.
A longtime Spanish language programmer and consultant, Melendez previously programmed TSJ Media’s network of stations in Ohio and Michigan from 2012-19 and was involved in the operations of multiple stations in the Houston area.
The new format takes the place of David Reese’s Dance “100.9 NRG” after it ceased broadcasting in September. It creates a direct format competitor to News-Press & Gazette Company’s market leading “La Poderosa 96.7” KUNA-FM Indio.
