Educational Media Foundation is purchasing two stations in Mississippi from Flinn Broadcasting.
EMF will acquire 100.9 WJXN-FM Utica/Jackson and 96.1 WIVG Tunica from Flinn for $550,000. Both stations began running EMF’s Contemporary Worship “Air 1” network in January after previous LMA’s came to an end. WJXN-FM had been Variety Hits “100.9 Jack-FM” under the operation of Alpha Media through the end of 2022 despite 93.9 WJAI Pearl also running the network. WIVG, which rimshots parts of the Memphis TN market, joined 96.7 W244BY Memphis, replacing Classic Rock “Drake-FM” operated by longtime Memphis morning personality Drake Hall.
