Longtime 93.7 WEEI-FM Boston host Glenn Ordway has announced he will retire from the station ending a nearly 50 year career in August.
Ordway joined the station in 1987 when then 590 WEEI was bought by the Boston Celtics and became its flagship station. His first run lasted through the station’s move to 850 and later 93.7 with eighteen years co-hosting afternoons with Michael Holly until exiting the station in 2013. Ordway returned to the station in September 2015 to host afternoons with former New England Patriot Christian Fauria and former Boston Red Sox Lou Merloni. He previously has worked at 1510 WMEX/WITS and 680 WRKO hosting shows and working on Boston Bruins game broadcasts. He also spent thirteen years on Boston Celtics radio broadcasts through 1996 and served as Program Director of WEEI.
Ordway states he will continue with the station working on special projects including hosting following New England Patriots games and developing a podcast.

Boston sports radio veteran and WEEI afternoon show host Glenn Ordway has just announced his retirement after 34 years with the station. While Ordway will step away from his day-to-day role as co-host of “Ordway Merloni and Fauria,” he will remain on the station in various ways – including as host of “The Real Post Game Show” following every Patriots’ game in the fall. Ordway will also continue to have guest appearances on WEEI and will develop a podcast.
“To be able to do something I’ve loved doing daily for nearly five decades has been a blessing, but to do it in the best sports city during the best championship run in the history of sports…what more can you ask for,” said Ordway. “I’ve had the opportunity over the years to do it with some of the best talent in the business on a legendary radio station. Though I’m walking away from the daily hosting role, I’m excited about new opportunities and my continued presence at WEEI and maybe a little free time every once in a while.”
