Lotus Communications has promoted “Rock 104.5” KDOT afternoon host Chris Payne to Program Director of KDOT and Classic Rock 105.7 KOZZ-FM Reno.
Payne joined KDOT last September for his second stint at the station after previously hosting afternoons from 1997 to 2001. He also worked at multiple iterations of Alternative KRZQ first for Wilks Broadcasting on 100.9 from 2006-12 and then as APD/MD of Shamrock’s reincarnation on 104.1 from 2012-17. He has also worked at KZAK and KURK in Reno as well as KRXQ Sacramento in his career. Payne also will continue in his role as on-field emcee for the Reno Aces AAA baseball team.
He succeeds former Operations Manager Jave Patterson programming both stations following Patterson’s departure last month.
