Rebekah ‘Bex” Maroun has announced her departure from “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM Medford/Boston’s “Matty In The Morning” and will relocate back to Philadelphia.
Maroun joined Kiss 108 in September 2018 from Audacy’s 96.5 WTDY-FM Philadelphia where she was hosting afternoons. She had been with the station through its Rhythmic CHR “Wired 96.5” and CHR “96.5 Amp Radio” brands originally serving as morning show producer and co-host. She also hosted segments for News 1060 KYW, Sports 94.1 WIP and KYW-TV.
Her departure comes weeks after being berated on-air by host Matty Siegel during his outbursts last month that saw him quit on-air and then quickly return to the station. After being off the show for the past couple of weeks she returned this morning to announce her departure. She told listeners, “When I moved to Boston, I wanted to make it home, and I wanted to be here, and spend the rest of my life here and honestly when COVID hit everything in my life sort of changed. I realized how much I missed my family and my friends and being surrounded by the people that I wanted to be close to.”
