White Communications has launched “Classic Hits 107.9” on newly acquired KZRS Great Bend/Hays KS.
The new 80s-based brand launched at 5pm today under the services of Radio Consulting Services‘ Jon Holiday with the Rolling Stones “Start Me Up”. The station will run jockless at launch with on-air talent expected to be added in a couple months.
White Communications agreed to purchase KZRS for $270,000 as part of Rocking M Media’s bankruptcy auction. The station had dropped its former Conservative Talk “107.9 The Patriot” identity along with 1510 KNNS Larned in January for a placeholder Oldies format as “Superhits“.
White Communications owns four other stations in Concordia and Russell KS.
