A round of cuts at Audacy Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ San Francisco has seen afternoon hosts Damon Bruce and Ray Ratto exit the station.
Bruce joined KGMZ in March 2014 from Cumulus’ 680 KNBR and 1050 KTCT where he hosted a 12-3pm show on KTCT and San Francisco 49ers and Giants pre and postgame shows on KNBR. He has also hosted shows for multiple national sports networks including CBS Sports Radio, ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio, Sporting News Radio, and Sports Overnight America.
Ratto joined Bruce in afternoons in September 2019. He previously co-hosted afternoons on KNBR and has been a columnist for the San Francisco Examiner, San Francisco Chronicle, NBC Sports Bay Area and Deadspin. He currently writes for Defector.com.
With the exit of Bruce and Ratto from the 3-6pm timeslot, KGMZ will stretch out its other shows. The “Morning Roast” hosted by Bonta Hill and Joe Shasky will extend from 6-9am to 6am to 10am. Matt Steinmetz and Daryle Johnson’s “Steiny and Guru” will move from 12-3pm to 10am to 2pm. “Willard and Dibs” hosted by Mark Willard and Dan Dibley moves from 9am-12pm to afternoons from 2-6pm.
The Athletic reports that two other staffers were let go as well.

The station’s morning show duo of Bonta Hill and Joe Shasky will extend their show an hour and now be heard from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PT. Hosts Matt Steinmetz and Daryle “The Guru” Johnson will be heard weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PT, while duo Mark Willard and Dan Dibley will move to afternoons and now be heard from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. PT.
Full new weekday lineup is as follows.
6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PT: Bonta Hill and Joe Shasky
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. PT: Matt Steinmetz and Daryle “The Guru” Johnson
2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. PT: Mark Willard and Dan DibleyThe station will also continue to carry Golden State Warriors basketball as part of its flagship partnership with the team.
