After losing its signal on 102.5 WPLW-FM Hillsborough NC as part of Curtis Media’s flurry of changes on December 26, CHR “Pulse-FM” has returned to the Durham portion of the Raleigh/Durham market with the sign on of 103.7 W279EJ Hillsborough.
W279EJ is operating from the same tower as what is now part of the Classic Hits “Kix 102” trimulcast under new WKXU call letters with 250w/180m. It becomes part of the network of “Pulse-FM” signals along with 96.9 WWPL Goldsboro (now WPLW-FM) and the recently added 104.7 W284CP Raleigh and 104.7 W284CD Youngsville fed via 94.7 WQDR-HD2 Raleigh.
