Salem Media Group will flip Conservative Talk “1640 The Patriot” KDZR Lake Oswego/Portland OR to Regional Mexican “La Patrona” on Tuesday, June 1.
The new format will duplicate the branding utilized by 1680 KNTS Seattle since its flip in February. The station will create a flanker to sister Regional Mexican “93.1 El Rey” KRYP Gladstone.
KDZR was one of two Conservative Talk stations in Portland owned by Salem. The company will continue to operate “The Answer 860” KPAM Troutdale. In addition to time-shifting some of Salem’s national programs heard on KPAM, KDZR also carried Westwood One’s Chris Plante, Ben Shapiro, and Michael Knowles along with Compass Media Network’s Joe Pags Show
