98.7 The Fox State College Adds Local/Regional Programming To Lineup

Skywave Broadcasting Sports “98.7 The Fox” WFXS Pleasant Gap/State College PA has announced it will launch up to seven hours of daily local programming starting Monday, August 21.

Among the shows to launch on WFXS are:

  • “Let’s Talk” from 11am to 1pm hosted by Scott Geesey and Penn State wrestling play-by-play voice Jeff Byers.
  • Penn State University football and men’s basketball play-by-play voice Steve Jones’ “Steve Jones Show” from 1-3pm. Jones’ show is also heard on Sunbury Broadcasting News/Talk 1070 WKOK Sunbury PA.
  • Jeff Byers will also co-host “The Goon and Ironhead Show” with former Penn State football player Keith Conlin on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5pm and host a high school focused “Ironhead on Sports” on Wednesdays from 4-5pm.
  • The “The Keystone Sports Kickoff Show” hosted by Jim Galanti based at 1350/98.9 WOYK York PA will be heard on Mondays and Fridays from 3-5pm and Wednesdays from 3-4pm.
  • The regionally syndicated “PA Sports Now” hosted by Jed Donahue will air from 5-7pm.
  • A high school coaches show will air from 7-8pm Wednesdays, while a Friday night high school football “Centre County Red Zone” will feature ongoing updates from schools in the county.

Fox Sports Radio programming will continue to air in other dayparts.

Skywave, led by Sabatino Cupelli, is currently operating WFXS via LMA ahead of the closing of its $325,000 purchase.
