iHeartMedia Sports “96.1 The Game” WMAX-FM Holland/Grand Rapids MI has switched from ESPN Radio to Fox Sports Radio network programming.
The station will continue to feature Michigan Sports Network’s “X’s and Bro’s” hosted by Anthony Bellino for mornings from 6 to 9am and “The Huge Show” hosted by Bill Simonson from 3-6pm. The remainder of WMAX-FM’s lineup will now come from Fox Sports Radio including The Dan Patrick Show from 9am-12pm, The Herd with Colin Cowherd from 12-3pm, Covino & Rich from 6-7pm, and The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker from 7-10pm.
Some FSR programming had been heard in the market on iHeart’s “Talk Radio 1230” WTKG Grand Rapids.
iHeartMedia Grand Rapids announced today the addition of FOX Sports Radio to the lineup at 96.1 The Game, West Michigan’s home for sports, effective immediately.
96.1 The Game now features FOX Sports Radio’s industry-leading lineup of live sports entertainment shows in select weekday timeslots, and around the clock on weekends. The following FOX Sports Radio weekday programs have joined the station’s roster: “The Dan Patrick Show,” “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” “Covino & Rich,” “The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker,” “The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon” and “The Ben Maller Show.”“We’re thrilled to now have the FOX Sports Radio lineup on 96.1 The Game,” said Dave Taft, SVP Programing, iHeartMedia Grand Rapids. “This addition, along with local sports coverage, play-by-play and the Michigan Sports Network, will continue our position as the broadcast sports leader in West Michigan.”
