Radio One Hip Hop “92Q” WERQ Baltimore has launched the “Quicksilva Morning Show”.
Quicksilva, who had been co-hosting afternoons on WERQ and sister 93.9 WKYS Washington DC with Dominique Da Diva, joins incumbent co-hosts Chey Parker and Johnny ‘Porkchop’ Doswell. Quicksilva previously co-hosted mornings at WKYS from 2016-18, which was preceded by a stint in afternoons at WERQ. He would then return to WERQ and WKYS as afternoon host in August 2018, with the show offered into syndication by Reach Media in 2020.
Parker joined WERQ’s former morning show “The AM Clique” in April after previously serving as a weekend host at WKYS. She has also co-hosted mornings and late-nights at WKYS and worked on-air at WVAI-LP Charlottesville VA and WHUR Washington.
Doswell first joined WERQ in 2002. He started at the station as producer of “Off The Hook Radio” with Reggie Reg, then co-hosted the Sunday night “Rap Attack”. After a stint as morning show producer and co-host of “The Big Phat Morning Show” from 2006-2008, he settled in as co-host with Squirrel Wyde on the evening “Animal House”. He moved to mornings in April 20921 to cohost “The AM Clique” with Angelbaby before “retiring” in December 2021. He would later return in 2022.
With the new show, Radio One Baltimore Operations Manager Vernon ‘Kels’ Kelson comes off-air.
