50 Cent will co-host Capital XTRA Breakfast as part of the station’s celebrations to mark 50 Years of Hip Hop later this week.
In a day of special events on Friday 11th August, Fif’, currently on tour celebrating the twentieth anniversary of his debut album, will join Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie between 8am – 9am.
The ‘In Da Club’ rapper will play some of his favourite Hip Hop anthems and will also discuss his extensive career to date – from his musical roots to the changing landscape of Hip Hop music over the years.
In addition, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the era-defining genre, Capital XTRA’s DJ Semtex will also host a very special show on the same day.
DJ Semtex will be mixing tracks and dropping in long-lost interviews with artists from across the scene, rediscovered from his very own Hip Hop vaults.
“50 Years of Hip Hop with DJ Semtex” will go out on Capital XTRA from 1pm – 3pm.
