YO1 Radio hires Chris Buckley as programming consultant

YO1 Radio in York has hired programme consultant, Chris Buckley to help improve the station’s local programming.

Chris has previously worked at UTV Radio, Hits Radio, Key 103, Heart Digital, Galaxy, and Signal 1. At YO1 Radio, he will work to fine-tune the station’s music selection, develop its presenters, and strengthen its connection with listeners across York and beyond.
Wayne Chadwick, Managing Director of YO1 Radio, said: “Since our relaunch back in 2021, YO1 has steadily grown to become a key part of our local community.
“We’ve worked with Chris before but formalising his role further strengthens the strategic direction we are taking with the radio station.
“His vision and energy are already making a difference, and we’re excited to see further improvements that will benefit our listeners, presenters, and advertisers.”
