Nation adds extra local shows to the Easy Radio South schedule as Stuart McGinley takes Drive

Former Wave 105 presenter Stuart McGinley is taking over Drive on Easy Radio from Monday.
He joins the full-time line-up, weekdays 3pm till 7pm, after hosting weekend shows recently.
The rest of the schedule is also made up of former Wave 105 jock, with Kate Weston on Breakfast, Andy Jackson on daytime, Tim Allen on evenings and Matt Rogan on Lates.
With weekends being filled by Stuart and Andy, Easy Radio now has local programming across the day seven days a week.
Neil Greenslade, Programme Director at Nation’s Easy Radio said: “With our official audience growing fast and our streaming numbers hitting new highs, we have chosen to dramatically increase our local programming at Easy Radio.
“Listeners can now find their All Time Favourite songs, alongside friendly local presenters, seven days a week. I can’t wait to see Easy’s further growth into 2025 and beyond.”
Easy Radio has just added DAB coverage in Dorset to its existing Hampshire, West Sussex and Isle of Wight footprint, and has more than doubled its audience over the past 12 months according to RAJAR.

Christmas FM is back for 2024 from November 28th across Ireland.
The money-raising radio station plays nonstop Christmas songs and spreads festive cheer each year on FM and other platforms.
Third class in St. Saviour’s National School in Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow are to officially turn on the radio station tomorrow.
The class won a competition run by Christmas FM to find a team of very special little helpers to officially Switch Christmas On for 2024.
Christmas FM will be broadcasting live on FM from midday on the 28th November:

Christmas FM, which is celebrating its 17th year on air this year, has raised over €3.5 million euro for a range of charities since it began broadcasting.
It will be continuing with the Magic of Christmas Appeal – raising funds for three of Ireland’s leading children’s charities – Barnardos, Barretstown, and Make-A-Wish Ireland, along with a range of children’s charities across Ireland making a difference in local communities through Community Foundation Ireland.
The Magic of Christmas was launched in 2022, with the aim of raising €1,000,000 over a three-year period for the charities. The Magic of Christmas fundraising appeal raised almost €325,000 last year for the charities, with donations raised between 2022 and 2023 totalling €618,706 overall.
Garvan Rigby, co-founder of Christmas FM says: “We are so excited that Christmas FM is back to Switch Christmas On across Ireland for 2024, with the help of third class in St Saviour’s National School, for our 17th year on air. BBC Radio 4 Today presenter and journalist Mishal Husain is leaving the BBC for Bloomberg

Mishal Husain is departing the BBC in the new year to become Editor-at-Large on Bloomberg Weekend Edition.
She has been a presenter on the Today programme for the last eleven years and hosts The Today Debate, as well as the recent BBC UK general election debates.
In her new job, Mishal will host a brand new flagship multi-platform global interview series, to be launched with audio, video and in digital, as a central feature of Bloomberg’s recently launched weekend offering.
Mishal will also work on other editorial projects for the global news brand.
Before joining Today in 2013, Mishal was an anchor on BBC World News and has also been a familiar face to UK audiences on the main national news programmes.
She was previously based in Washington and Singapore as an anchor for the BBC.
Mishal joins Bloomberg in early 2025 and will be working exclusively for the news brand, based in Bloomberg’s European headquarters in London and reporting into Katherine Bell, Executive Editor of Bloomberg Weekend Edition.
