Premier Radio Chief Executive Peter Kerridge has died following a year-long battle with acute leukaemia.
Peter passed away surrounded by family and loved ones in the early hours of Saturday morning (8th June).
The radio station is in mourning following the news, and has opened a book of condolences on its website.
A statement from the Christian service said: “We are sad to announce that in the early hours of Saturday 8th June Peter Kerridge, Chief Executive of Premier passed away surrounded by family and loved ones.

For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
“Peter embodied a rare combination of vision, determination and warmth. He truly believed in the power of Christian media to inspire, enable and encourage. Under his leadership Premier has become a beacon of hope, reaching millions.
“Peter’s absence leaves a deep sadness in the hearts of everyone who knew him, but his unwavering dedication, sense of humour and kindness will live on in the countless lives he touched and transformed. So together, let’s celebrate the impact he had on all our lives and the enduring legacy he leaves behind.”
