FCC Report 4/2: Delinquent Fee License Revocation Proceeding Issued Against Connecticut AM

FCC Actions
An Order to Pay or to Show Cause initiating a license revocation proceeding has been issued against Nievezquez Productions’ Spanish Tropical “Dinamica 1120” WPRX Bristol CT. WPRX owes delinquent regulatory fees from 2010, 2012-14, 2016-17, 2020 and 2020 totaling $27,150.64.

The FCC has granted East Texas Community Broadcasting’s Petition for Reconsideration over the grant of a new non-commercial license on 90.7 in Golinda TX to First Dallas Media and have reinstated ETCB’s application for 90.3 Riesel TX. First Dallas Media’s application was selected on its fair distribution claim that it would provide second NCE service to 14,178 people, while ETCB states its calculations show it would only provide it to 1,706 people. Because First Dallas Media cannot construct its facility to comply with section 73.7002(c) of the FCC rules, the grant was rescinded and both groups were given fifteen days to file corrective amendments to their applications.

The FCC has approved Eduardo Gallegos application to modify 105.5 KRIX Port Isabel TX to operate on 95.3, while substituting the vacant 95.3 South Padre Island allocation with 105.5 following the thirty day comment period.

Pirate Actions
A Notice of Illegal Pirate Broadcasting has been issued to Eastside Free Methodist Church for transmissions originating on their property on 90.5 in Portland OR.

Osvaldo Carlos Forbes Mussle was issued a Notice of Illegal Pirate Broadcasting for signals originating from his property operating on 90.1 in San Juan PR.
