2022 Post-Christmas Radio Format Change Watchlist RundownIt’s the most wonderful time of the year. A time to blow up your station’s previous branding and start fresh after blowing out your playlist for 6-8 weeks of music that you cannot play except for maybe that one day in July when people like to pretend it is winter.

While there will be many others changes that seemingly come out of nowhere (even beyond those we track in our Domain Insight reports), the following is a list of stations where changes have been confirmed, expected, or at least worth monitoring between Christmas Day and the first week of January.

Confirmed Changes

Billings MT – Townsquare Media will debut AC “95.5 Lite-FM” KCHH Worden on January 1. The brand launched on November 18 with Christmas music ahead of the launch.

Portsmouth OH – Strong Tower Christian Media debuted “98.3 The Rock” on WKSG Garrison KY with Christmas music and will launch a new non-commercial Christian format after the holidays.

Tupelo MS – Southern Broadcasting is stunting with “Christmas 102.9” on WWMR Saltillo until launching a new format on December 26.

Potential Changes

Alpena MI – Midwestern Broadcasting Conservative Talk 105.7 WZTK Alpena dropped its format on Thanksgiving Day for Christmas music making a format change possible.

Fort Collins CO – iHeartMedia 90s Hits “B107.3” K297AK Loveland CO/97.9 KXBG-HD2 Cheyenne WY became “Christmas 107.3on November 3.

Sarasota FL – iHeartMedia Hot AC “103.9 Kiss-FM” 1450 WSDV/103.9 W280EV Sarasota dropped its branding to become “Santa-FM” on November 11.

Savannah GA – Dick Broadcasting Classic Hits “Rewind 107.9” WRWN Port Royal SC rebranded as “Christmas 107.9on November 1.

York PA – Forever Media dropped CHR from “Nu 92.7” WNUU Starview and similarly branded 1320 WGET/93.7 W229DK Gettysburg and 1280 WHVR/95.3 W237EN Hanover on November 1. The stations will operate as “Santa 92.7until Monday, January 2.
