NRG Media Sports “1620 The Zone” KOZN Omaha has announced the launch of a new on-air lineup that debuted on Monday, January 3.
Midday host Gary Sharp has returned to mornings to once again team up with Damon Benning. The duo previously co-hosted mornings from 2012 to 2019 before Sharp shifted to middays. Connor Happer joins KOZN to host middays. Happer has spent the past six years at Home Field Communications Sports “93.7 The Ticket” KNTK Lincoln NE in multiple dayparts. “Unsportsmanlike Conduct” hosted by John Bishop, Josh Peterson, and Nick Grimm remains in afternoons.
NRG Media and KOZN has reunited Gary Sharp and Damon Benning to do mornings, weekdays from 6a.m.-10a.m., and added Connor Happer to the line-up to host the mid-day slot weekdays from 10a.m.-2p.m. Both shows debuted on Monday, January 3rd.
Gary and Damon previously hosted the morning show on 1620 The ZONE for seven years, before Gary moved into mid-days for the last two years. Damon, a former Nebraska Cornhusker, has been doing mornings on KOZN since October, 2012. Now the duo is back together as the premier morning show for Sports/Talk listeners in the Omaha metro.
Connor Happer joins 1620 The ZONE beginning today to host The Connor Happer Show on KOZN. Connor joins the team from 93.7 The Ticket in Lincoln where he hosted mornings, middays, afternoons, and late mornings since 2015. Connor is a native of Omaha and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
