107.1 The Boss Adds Kid Kelly Daily For Nights

New Press Communications Classic Rock “107.1 The Boss” WWZY Long Branch/99.7 WBHX Tuckerton NJ Program Director/morning host Robby Bridges continues to put his touches onto the station.

WWZY/WBHX is adding a customized version of Westwood One’s Kid Kelly Daily to air in evenings starting Monday, November 15. Kelly, best known in the region for his two stints at CHR “Z100” WHTZ Newark from 1988-93 and 1997-99, will tweak his daypart-agnostic show for the station’s Classic Rock format as opposed to the Classic Hits stations it normally airs on.

Brooklyn’s home grown “night skillet” Kid Kelly is back on the prowl in the tri-state area evenings on 107-1 The Boss (WWZY/WBHX) Monmouth-Ocean starting Monday night November 15th. Kid will be doing a custom show for the station as part of his “Kid Kelly Daily” syndicated thru Westwood One.

Kid famously hosted nights on top 40 icon Z100 from 1988-1993 and again from 1997-1999 while also serving as APD and later OM. He also hosts the internationally syndicated “Backtrax USA” and prior in his career made stops at Sirius XM, WKSE Buffalo, WKCI New Haven and WBHT Scranton

“I’ve known the Kidster for more than 20 years and I couldn’t be more pumped to bring him back to the area for nights on 107-1 The Boss! I know with his history in the market, our audience that loves the songs of the 80s and more will be thrilled to hear a voice they heard play them for the first time now on our air! Also, when we worked together at Z100 he took my 2001 Honda Accord for a joyride and my insurance premiums have never come down so I’ll need to speak to him about that!” said PD Robby Bridges

Kid added, “Yeah put that scary top 40 guy on at night see what they can do! Robby Bridges forward thinking radio executive!”
