102.7 The Peak Vancouver To Move To HD2/Streaming As New Format Prepares To Launch

A third format change in less than a month will take place in Vancouver as Pattison Media will move Alternative “102.7 The Peak” CKPK-FM to streaming and HD2 distribution on Monday, July 25.

The station will continue to feature morning hosts Charis Hogg and Jeremy Baker and Music Director/midday host Jason Manning. The move to HD2/streaming will pave the way for a new format to launch on the primary 102.7 signal.

We first reported in our 6/29 Domain Insight that Pattison has been sitting on 1027NowRadio.com and .ca since 2020 for CKPK-FM for the growing “Social Radio” format it operates in Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg. That domain is now parked on their hosting provider’s servers waiting to go live.

It was also announced earlier this month that Christy Farrell and Fraser Tuff, morning hosts at said formatted “101.5 Today Radio” CKCE-FM Calgary, have announced they will be departing their station after six years for an opportunity “within our company” in Vancouver.

The flip at CKPK-FM will follow Rogers Sports & Media flipping Hot AC “Kiss Radio” 107.5 CKKS-FM Chilliwack/92.5 CKKS-FM-1 Abbotsford/104.9 CKKS-FM-2 Vancouver BC to Alternative “Sonic Radio” on June 30 and Durham Radio launching Smooth AC “Wave 98.3” CIWV-FM on Monday, July 18. Additionally, Pattison Media cloned its Country “93.7 JR Country” Vancouver CJJR-FM on 89.5 CHWK-FM Chilliwack on July 1.
